Remove the carbon from the sole of the iron
The sole of the iron heats up to a high temperature and sooner or later the carpet appears on it. Where does he come from? Particles of fabric, dust from things accumulate on a hot smooth surface and burn. This process is also facilitated by the formation of static electricity during ironing, the charge of which attracts dust and small particles.

There is a special pencil for this – it can be bought in many stores. They are treated with the sole of the heated iron, and the car is removed chemically. The smell of ammonia from a melting pencil, of course, is not so hot, but you have to tolerate. Molten dirt from the surface must be wiped with a rag, and let the iron cool. Then you must wash it with water to remove all the chemicals from the iron – this will save it from corrosion and prevent chemistry to enter things. Do not forget to wash your hands either.

An old, proven method of cleaning the iron – using ordinary salt. It is better if it is as smaller as possible. It is necessary to pour it into the newspaper, smooth it with a thin layer, and then “stroke” it with a hot iron, while well pressing on it. Gradually salt, and paper will become dirty – this is from a carbon. If the pollution is strong, then you can do another or more times, heating the iron again. Then you need to wipe it well. This method is not suitable for irons that have holes – the salt will get down there and the iron will “die”.
Another simple method is to dilute ordinary soda in some water remedy. You need to take a little this product, and add soda until the mixture becomes as viscous as sour cream. This solution needs to grate the sole of the iron with a rag or sponge. You do not need to heat the iron, but you need to rub the mixture with force. After that, you need to put an iron for a short time, and then wash everything off and wipe everything.
