If you think about the name “sandblast”, then we can easily understand that we are talking about something, associated with sand and stream that serves it. And indeed it is. Sandbrushe is used for grinding or cleaning the contaminated surface with the smallest pebbles – abrasive. In turn, a sandblasting device is a device that allows you to make such a grinding. But where is it used? And who may need?
When a sandblasting apparatus is required
The sandblasting apparatus is the equipment into which abrasive material is filled up. Then, under high pressure, a fence of the substance occurs and its supply to the surface. The feed rate is so high that the surface is quickly cleaned of garbage, dust, dirt, rust, and also degreased.
Sandblast can be used with almost any material – glass, metal, stone. Therefore, it is used to prepare surfaces for painting and final plaster.
Types of sandblasting
Sandbrown machines are quite powerful equipment. They are divided into several types of device type:
Cleaning under pressure. This is a common option that was used in the earliest developments of sandblasting machines. The mixture of sand is supplied to the air -cleaned surface with a stream of air under very high pressure and removes all the pollution;
Cleaning with wet sand. In equipment of this type, sand is mixed with water. This does not affect the quality of cleaning, but the process itself becomes safer and proceeds faster due to the lack of dust;
Fire cleaning. This is the most powerful way to use sand to clean surfaces. It is based on the supply of an abrasive using a reactive jet of another substance. This type of sandblast is considered the most effective, but expensive.
Sandbrown device – an indispensable assistant in construction and large -scale repair. It reduces the likelihood that the paintwork applied to the surface will subsequently lose their original appearance. But despite the fact that today sandblasting can be bought relatively inexpensive, it is not always necessary. Basically, sandblast is used to process truly extensive surfaces. For domestic repair, it is quite possible to limit yourself to manual grinding methods.
